Cowes Library Joins Cowes Week Celebrations

Cowes Library is marking the 200th anniversary of Cowes Week with two free family events inspired by the famous sailing regatta.

A Silly Sea Creature Drawing session will be held from 10am until midday on Friday, August 7, inviting people of all ages to create imaginative sea-themed artwork.

The following day, from 10.30am to 11am, children can enjoy a musical storytime celebrating music, creativity and individuality. Fancy dress is encouraged, and all children must be accompanied by an adult.

Visitors can also explore the free Cowes Maritime Museum, based within the library, which showcases the town's rich maritime history through displays including Uffa Fox's dinghy *Avenger* and models of vessels built by J. Samuel White & Co.

The library's weekly Games Club for Adults will continue during Cowes Week as normal.
