Stuart was here at the very beginning! In 1990 he was the young man in charge of cataloguing the vinyl in the record library. He owes his broadcasting career to a natural talent behind the mic and also Saddam Hussein invading Kuwait.... Stuart's first shows were overnight during the Gulf conflict. Within a few years he'd presented almost every show including record listening figures for The Brighter Breakfast.

Stuart left the Island in 2001, but has never been far away from his spiritual home! He spent time working on national radio, Ocean FM in Hampshire and Spire FM in Salisbury where he won two Radio Academy awards for Station of the Year.

He spends a lot of his spare time cycling, running, listening to music and eating out, (which is why he has to go cycling and running). He loves all types of music but is obsessed with the 80s. His desert island disc is West End Girls by Pet Shop Boys.

Stuart loves the Island's beautiful views and beaches, but dislikes the traffic and potholes on the roads.
