Obama: Film 'Insult' to Muslims And Americans

Tue, 25 September 2012 3:51PM

Barack Obama has condemned an anti-Islam film as he addresses the UN General Assembly in New York.

The US President said the controversial film mocking the Prophet Mohammed - which has sparked violent protests across the world - was "an insult not only to Muslims, but to America as well".

But he said the violent backlash against the "disgusting" movie was unjustified.

He vowed to hunt down those behind the "attack on America" in Libya that killed the US ambassador Chris Stevens.

"The attacks on our civilians in Benghazi were attacks on America. There should be no doubt that we will be relentless in tracking down the killers and bringing them to justice," Mr Obama said.
