Pastor Maldonado of Williams will start second under the floodlights at the Marina Bay Street Circuit.
Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel and McLaren's Jenson Button are in third and fourth respectively.
Ferrari's Fernando Alonso will start from fifth. He is the championship leader, some 37 points ahead of Hamilton.
The build up to the race has focused on the future of Hamilton with two offers on the table. One is from McLaren, the other from Mercedes.
Sky Sports commentator Martin Brundle thinks Hamilton's future will be sorted out next week - and that he will stay at McLaren.
Also, F1 chief Bernie Ecclestone has said a deal has been reached for the race to stay on the F1 calendar until 2017.
