A man has been arrested after walking into a Florida cinema with Joker-style makeup and bright red hair.
Police surrounded the building after a film-goer at the Premiere Oaks Theater in Melbourne, Brevard County, spotted the man.
"It was a little bit out of the ordinary," said Sergeant Sheridan Shelley, a spokesman for the Melbourne Police Department, according to FloridaToday.com.
"Usually, you would have people come in costume for a first night showing but not during the morning. In this case, we had a guy show up in Joker-styled makeup, wearing a black leather jacket, jeans and boots. He was definitely drawing attention to himself."
It is thought he had bought a ticket to see The Expendables 2 but was stopped before he entered the cinema.
The man was not carrying any weapons and was arrested on an unrelated failure to appear warrant.
Two months ago James Holmes killed 12 people in a shooting at a Batman movie premiere in Colorado.
The 24-year-old, who had dyed his hair bright orange, injured a further 58 people at a midnight showing of the Dark Knight Rises in Denver.
