Tom Daley says he's delighted his years of dedication have been rewarded with an Olympic bronze medal.
Daley picked up aq medal in one of the most competitive olympic diving finals of all time.
In the end the 18-year-old missed out on silver by less than a point, finishing just behind Bo Qiu of China and USA's David Bouda who won the gold.
"To finally have something to show for all the hard work and the dedication and effort I've put in in getting to the olympics has just made everthing worthwhile." He said.
He also spoke about how he delt with the pressure of expectation in the build up to the games. Daley said: "You have to compartmenalise so many different things.
"My social life, me diving life, my school life, I've got to keep everything separate and don't let them mix into one. Otherwise it just messes up your head."
Daley also believes many cometitors will have an empty feelingnow the games have finished. He said: "It is sad to think that i is all over, London 2012 is no more.
"But now we have to look forward to Rio and there is another four year cycle and that will come around sooner than you think."
