A man who treated his son to a drive in a Lamborghini for his 21st birthday has died after the supercar crashed into a garden.
Father-of-four Graham Padmore, 58, was at the wheel when the Gallardo Spyder left the track, flipped over and ended up on its roof.
No other vehicles were involved in the tragedy which took place last Monday at Woodford Aerodrome in Stockport, Greater Manchester.
Mr Padmore, who was critically hurt, was taken to hospital where he has since died, police said.
His son Mark suffered minor injuries in the accident and was released from hospital.
Mr Padmore's family said: "Graham was a loving, doting husband and father of four to Claire, Helen, Catherine and Mark. He lived for his family and friends.
"He was treating his son, Mark, to a ride in a Lamborghini for his 21st birthday, which was typical of Graham, when this tragic accident occurred.
"He just wanted to be with his family and see them happy. We will miss him dearly but he will live with us forever in whatever we do."
Sergeant Danny Byrne, from Greater Manchester Police, said: "The investigation into this tragic incident is still in the early stages.
"We are attempting to find out the full facts of what happened that day and have several lines of inquiry to follow.
"My thoughts are with Graham's family, who are being supported by specially trained officers, and what they must be going through at this difficult time."
