Dramatic footage has been released showing a car crashing into a motorcycle, sending its five passengers toppling to the ground in eastern China.

All five passengers went to hospital, but escaped the crash with non-life-threatening injuries, state media agency CCTV said.

Surveillance cameras filmed the motorcycle crossing the intersection during a red light on May 29.

Police said the sedan was crossing during a yellow light, CCTV reported.
