Join us every Sunday 7-10pm when Glyn Taylor will be playing the best of local music old and new. If you’re a local band you need to get in touch! Send your demos or albums to glyn.taylor@iwradio.co.uk or drop them in to the radio station at Dodnor Park, Newport.

Every week we play the best in Island Bands and Island linked music, we cover all genres and styles, and feature music from all of the Island Festivals and Bestivals.

Live & Local is your chance to be heard on the radio, so if you are a budding musician, duo or band, send your demo to the above address, and you could be featured on the show in the near future...

To listen to the interviews, join the Isle of Wight Radio Access All Areas club - it's quick and easy, with plenty of exclusive features and competitions!

Bestival 2011 Island Bands and DJs Competition!

Meanwhile, the DJ line up is Ming Da Mercilus, Vectors Lab, DJ Ceramik, London Jukebox and Elmo and Beavz.

Good luck to everyone - and you can support them when they play the final at Northwood House on Thursday June 2nd - doors open at 7pm!

Goodbye Stereo popped into the studio on Sunday evening for a live session - take a look at the pictures below!

Wednesday 23rd March, 7 acts took to the stage for the Young Chamber Event, that took place at Cowes High School, the event was organised by students who are Chamber members and were set a task of raising money for a charity. The chosen charity was the Young Careers Project .

The 7 acts were all competing for a recording session at Studio 5A, the winner was picked by a panel of judges, the quality and passion from all of the acts was superb but there could only be one winner, which was a band made up of 3 Cowes High Students called The Fazes!
