CCTV Released After Woman Followed And Verbally Abused By Man In Ryde

Police have released CCTV footage and are appealing for information following an incident in Ryde.

At around 8pm on Wednesday 3 April, a woman in her 50s was followed by a man she did not know, who shouted verbal abuse at her throughout the encounter.

The woman was not hurt but was left very distressed by this incident.

She first encountered this man on Star Street, as he approached from Player Street.

 

The man is described as:

  • White
  • Aged roughly in his 50s or 60s
  • Average build
  • Dishevelled looking, with greyish curly hair
  • Dark-coloured coat
  • Dark rimmed glasses


Officers have been supporting the victim, and have been making enquiries in the area including continuing to scope for CCTV.

As part of enquiries, police would like to identify the man in this CCTV footage.
