MAN RE-BAILED AFTER COLLISION AT CHALE GREEN
A 44-year-old Island man's been re-bailed as police continue to investigate a collision at Chale Green.
He was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop at the scene of an accident and must return to Newport Police station in October.
At approximately 6.30pm on Tuesday, June 24, a tractor pulling out onto Appleford Road was in collision with a grey Yamaha scooter. The rider of the scooter, an 18-year-old woman from Chale Green, was treated in hospital for leg injuries. The tractor failed to stop at the scene.
