Walk The Wight Numbers Up

A record number of walkers have signed up for this year's Walk the Wight so far, compared with the same time last year.

So far 5373 have registered. 185 walkers are over 65 year's old and 12 are over 80.

The walkers, so far, are from nine different countries including England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Australia, France, Germany, Holland and Russia.

Some of the teams already registered have quirky names including 'Alice in Drunkland' and 'CandyK!D Stilt Walkers'.

Walk the Wight takes place on Sunday 13th May.
