Staff at Clinton Cards in Ryde and Newport face an uncertain future as the company stands on the brink of adminstration.

The company which has wracked up loans of £35million pounds has announced the suspension of trading in its shares and says it had been in breach of some conditions attached to the loans and that it was not in a position to repay them.

It's reported that it's multi-million pound loans have been sold by its banks Barclays and Royal Bank of Scotland to company American Greetings who plan to place the company into administration.
