Tiddlers go for a toddle

Tiddlers go for a toddle
Tue, 17 April 2012 9:53AM

On 19th May 2012 Ryde Inshore Rescue will be holding the first of two Giant Toddle’s for 2012.  Once again the walk will be included as part of the Isle of Wight walking festival and is specifically aimed at the younger generation and their families.  Due to popular demand in previous years the walk will be limited to 100 children and will be allocated on a ‘first come first served’ basis to ensure the safety of children at all times.  You

Based at Appley the walk sets off from Appley Car Park at 11am on the Saturday, going anticlockwise around the park finishing outside of the Appley Cafe on the seafront.  Most children and many adults too have donned fancy dress for the event and the crew of Ryde Inshore Rescue will ensure that characters such as Eeyore and their very own Lifeboat elephant are on hand to lead the way around the course.

All children who attempt the walk will receive a medal, certificate and prize for their efforts to remember the day with, all the Inshore Unit asks is that you register your child prior to the event and raise a small amount of sponsorship money for the Independent Lifeboat station.

To guarantee your child’s place please call 812178 or email rydeinshorerescue@tesco.net giving your child’s name and address.  Once a space has been confirmed a registration and sponsorship pack will be sent out.
