New Pub For Lake Approved

New Pub For Lake Approved Proposed site of pub
By Tue, 28 February 2012 11:12AM

Plans for a new pub and restaurant in Lake have been given the go-ahead.

The Marston’s development will serve food for up to 180 people.

The company was given permission to serve alcohol on the site of Merrie Gardens Farm last month.

Isle of Wight Council has now approved planning permission for the development.

It will serve alcohol Mondays to Thursdays between 10am and midnight, on Fridays and Saturdays between 10am and 1am and on Sundays, from 11am until midnight.

The new pub will create between 40 and 50 jobs.

Steve Roberts from Marston's said: "We’re extremely excited about the new pub restaurant and hope it will build a great reputation locally. When it opens, it will be offering top quality, value for money pub food and a great selection of drinks, including cask ales from our five regional breweries across the UK."
