Meet The Nurses!

Meet The Nurses!
By Wed, 02 May 2012 10:13AM

Nurses on the Isle of Wight are preparing to celebrate International Nurses Day.

It's held in May every year - this year on Friday 11th - and marks the contribution nurses make to the NHS.

All patients, NHS staff and the public on the Island are being invited to join the team in the Conference Room at St. Mary’s Hospital between 1pm and 3pm to see some of the work Nurses, Midwives and Health Visitors are doing on the Island.

Carol Alstrom, Chief Nurse at Isle of Wight NHS Trust says: "Nurses are often the unsung heroes of the NHS, working hard in the background to improve standards of patient care.  So come and spend a few minutes with us on 11th May to find out more about what we are doing and what plans we have to make things even better.  Come and celebrate with us the really great things that are going on within our services."

Carol and some of the nursing leadership team at St. Mary’s will be on hand to talk to you about any aspect of nursing on the day.
