Boy Wounded With Knife At School

A 14 year old boy has been injured with a craft knife during an art class at Sandown Bay Academy.

Police have confirmed to Isle of Wight Radio the incident happened just after 10.30am yesterday (Thursday).

The boy sustained a wound to his abdomen and was taken to St Mary’s Hospital where he was kept under observation as a precaution.

A 13-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.

Following further investigation he was released with no further action.

According to Police, "There was no evidence of a criminal offence being committed."
