Kevin Mole Outboards of Cowes, Isle of Wight are currently raffling an outboard worth £850 in aid of the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust, the nationwide charity that aims to rebuild confidence in young people recovering from cancer through sailing.

The 4hp engine was donated by Suzuki and is being raffled at £2 a ticket from now until June 5th

The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust is a nationwide charity that aims to help young people recovering from cancer and other serious illnesses rebuild the confidence lost through long periods of hospitalisation. Launched by Dame Ellen MacArthur in 2003, the Trust takes young people aged 8-24 on four-day sailing trips, providing an opportunity to test themselves in a safe and supportive environment.

Kevin Mole commented on their support for the Trust;

"I remember Ellen coming to us long before she sailed around the world with a small Yamaha 5hp, we helped her then and since the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust was launched, it has been our pleasure to help with their work with young people recovering from cancer. We hope this raffle will help raise some much needed funds."

Tickets for the raffle are available from now until June 5th and are on sale at Kevin Mole outboards in Cowes. They can also be purchased from Beaulieu, Sandbanks, RIBEX and Cowes Fest.
