Ryde car fire under investigation

By Isle of Wight Radio Reporter Fri, 26 October 2012 10:29AM

A car fire in Ryde in the early hours of this morning (Friday) is thought to have been started deliberately.

The car - in the car park at the town's Iceland store - was on fire shortly before 1am.

One appliance attended and the fire was out by 1.30am.

A spokesperson for Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service said it believed the fire, which was contained inside the vehicle, was started deliberately.
