The family of Angela Slater, who died when her car went over the cliff at Compton, has paid tribute to her.
In a statement released by Island police, the Slater family said: "Angela was a beautiful, intelligent, warm, loving person who dedicated her life to the welfare of others, and whose energy and enthusiasm warmed the lives of everyone she touched.
"We are deeply shocked and saddened she left the world in this way.
An inquest was opened into Angela's death yesterday.
The 48 year old, of Poole, Dorset, died of multiple injuries when her car fell around 200ft off the cliff on October 16.
