A sustainable holiday cottage in Shorwell, a recreational tree climbing company and the Island's steam railway are all putting the Isle of Wight on the tourism map.
The three tourist spots have been shortlisted for the prestigious Beautiful South Awards for Excellence 2012-13, which includes entrants from across the South East.
Brookside Cottage has been shortlisted in the Sustainable Tourism category, whilst Goodleaf Tree Climbing is competing in the Best Tourism Experience category. Meanwhile, Havenstreet-based Isle of Wight Steam Railway could win the Large Attraction category. It is shortlisted alongside the likes of Beaulieu Motor Museum, Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire, and the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth.
"We're thrilled with the high calibre of entrants this year and their amazing achievements", said Peter Colling, Managing Director of Tourism South East.
"The standard of all entrants is exceptional this year and the shortlist selection has proved extremely challenging. In the current economic climate it is more important than ever to provide an outstanding visit experience and we are delighted to recognise their efforts. I congratulate all who have been shortlisted."
Tourist South East will announce the winners at an evening of celebration on 28 November.
