Flat fire in Newport

A woman has suffered the effects of breathing in smoke, after a fire in the grounds of a property in Newport.

Fire crews were called to Victoria Road at 8:15pm on Monday.

They found a fire outside the back of the ground floor which caused the building to be badly smoke logged.

Three appliances had attended the scene.
