A group of fundraising parents, teachers and governors from Queensgate Foundation Primary School in East Cowes will run 10 miles, on Saturday, to raise funds for new playground equipment.
The route will take in cycle paths and main roads between Arreton and East Cowes.
Among those taking part is year four teacher Simon Lynch, the headteacher's husband Mr Sillito, the Chair of Governors and a dinner lady who also runs marathons.
They're hoping to raise £2000 to buy adventure equipment for the school. A merger between Whippingham Primary and East Cowes Primary into Queensgate Foundation Primary on the former middle school site meant existing equipment was left behind.
The run gets underway in Arreton at 11am.
Islanders are being invited to welcome home the runners at about 12 o'clock, on the school field. Meanwhile, if you would like to donate, contact the school on 292872 or find more details here.
