Change at the top for Quay Arts

By Emma Philo Tue, 16 October 2012 9:23AM

A well-known arts organisation is preparing for a change in leadership following news that current Director Jo Cowan is to leave.

Jo has been in the post of Director for the past two years, but has worked at Quay Arts for over six years.

She said: "I have hugely enjoyed my time working for the Quay and feel very privileged to have worked with such talented and enthusiastic people from across the Island. Having consulted with stakeholders, developed a new business plan and secured the necessary financial support from the Arts Council, I am confident the time is right to hand over and allow someone else to take the organisation to the next stage."

Mike Fisher, Chair of Trustees said: "We thank Jo for her contribution and commitment – during her time as Director she has lead the organisation through a period of great change. She leaves the Quay clear in its new direction and, through securing significant financial support from the Arts Council, the ability to implement the transition. We wish her every success in her future endeavours."
