A charity shop on the Isle of Wight has been burgled for the second time in six months, with hundreds of pounds being stolen from a safe.
Police are investigating the incident, which was reported by the Mencap charity shop in Newport High Street.
The burglary - the second since March this year - is believed to have happened sometime between 3pm on Saturday and 7.45am on Monday.
A window at the shop was damaged, and a safe containing hundreds of pounds in cash, cheques and bank details were stolen. A number of pieces of jewellery were also taken.
The exact value of what has been stolen is unknown but the manageress, who asked not to be named, said the total loss to the shop was more than £1,000.
