Race for Life to return

Race for Life to return
By Matt White Thu, 04 October 2012 12:35PM

A major charity fundraiser, rained off in July, will return to the Island at an earlier date next year.

Race for Life organisers have moved the event to May 2013 after this year's fundraiser had to be cancelled because Newport's Seaclose Park was water-logged.

An unofficial event was held at Appley Park, Ryde, on July 29, but next year's Race for Life will be staged at Seaclose.

An official date in May has yet to be announced but early-bird tickets will be available until the end of October.
