Two drivers have been taken to hospital with minor injuries after a two car crash in Cowes - from which a child escaped uninjured and which caused one of the cars to land on its roof.
Emergency services were called to the junction of Mill Hill Road and Victoria Road at around 2:30pm on Tuesday.
A Renault Espace, carrying a child and driver, overturned after colliding with a Kia Picanto, driven by an elderly woman, which then hit a wall of the Greenbank B&B on Mill Hill Road.
The two occupants of the Renault managed to free themselves, but fire crews had to help free the driver of the Kia. She didn't need to be cut free, but was helped from the vehicle and both drviers were taken to hospital as a precaution. The child was said by police to be uninjured.
Jeff Walls, Duty Fire Officer at the scene, told IW Radio: "We've got one car on its roof and one car stable on all four wheels that's hit a wall.
"We've got a number of casualties spread amongst two cars On our arrival, everyone within the car that's on its roof now was free of a car. They're in a local premises here, just being looked at by paramedics. I can confirm there was a child within that car."
Police confirmed that the road had re-opened at 4:15pm
