Fire in shop bin

By Emma Philo Mon, 24 September 2012 1:26PM

A bin fire in the ladies toilet at a Ryde store has been extinguished.

Two fire engines were called to the Co-op on Anglesea Street at 10:10am on Monday.

However, the fire had been put out by staff before crews arrived.

The fire service said that police were due to attend the scene to investigate the incident.

Police later said there was no evidence of intent to cause arson.
