Port plot FA Cup giant-killing

By Chris Browning Fri, 21 September 2012 9:25AM

Newport Football Club are hoping for a famous win against Salisbury City in the FA Cup Second Qualifying Round on Saturday.

The mainland side play three leagues above Newport in the Conference South, but hopes are high for a giant-killing.

Kick off is at 3 o clock at St George's Park.

A win for the Port would take them through to the third qualifying round, and see them receive £4,500 prize money.

Manager Steve Brougham is excited ahead of the match.

He told Isle of Wight Radio, 'there's a buzz around the place. We'll give them a really good go.

'The support always helps us and we're looking to be better than we are now and the support is always going to help us'.

Isle of Wight Radio's Glyn Taylor will be live from St George's Park from 2 o clock on Saturday, with live coverage of the game.
