Hairy Bikers catch Island Sole

The Hairy Bikers have been filming on the Isle of Wight for their latest TV show.

Among those to spot them on the Island today was Alan Carson from the Price is Wight website.

Alan told IW Radio that the pair rode up to Bembridge on their trademark motorcycles before heading out to sea on Thursday morning with Captain Stan.

Alan reported that Dave, still wearing his green wellies, life belt and sunglasses, said: "We've had a great morning fishing. We actually weren't out that far but we managed to come back with not a bad catch.

"We got some rock salmon, some Dover Sole and some lovely grey mullet. "The Island is a fantastic place. It's just a shame we haven't got the time to explore it further but the filming is all scheduled in."

His co-rider Si added: "We certainly picked a beautiful morning for being out on the English Channel. At least we didn't need to worry too much about finding our sea legs.

"The fishing was good. Now all I need to do is get my welly boots off and my shoes back on."
