Bestival crowds have been treated to an incredible first full day of live music, culminating in a rousing finale from Friday headliner Florence and the Machine.
Among the talent to take to the plethora of stages at the Robin Hill site earlier in the day was singer/songwriter Emeli Sande, who delivered a powerful performance including well-known hits such as My Kind of Love.
Hours later and the 50,000-strong audience eagerly chanted as they awaited the arrival of Bestival favourite Florence Welch.
Delighting the crowd with a highly energetic performance, the set included plenty of sing-along tunes including Say My Name and You’ve Got the Love.
Florence’s angelic vocals didn’t falter as she skipped barefoot across the stage - at one point jumping down to be closer to her fans.
The singer’s nymph-like emerald green flowing dress, complete with ivy headdress, was set off perfectly against her shock of long red hair.
As Florence returned for an encore, there was praise for the Bestival’s organiser as she told the crowd: “We’d like to thank Rob da Bank for supporting us from the very start and inviting us to headline tonight which has been such a huge honour. Thank you!”
The final rendition of Dog Days saw Florence invite the crowd to get in on the act, with plenty of enthusiastic participation from a willing audience.
