A former Isle of Wight bus has returned to Newport after carrying a group of young travellers to Kathmandu in Nepal.
The 54 year old vehicle comes complete with bunks and a kitchen and normally belongs to the collection held by the Isle of Wight Bus Museum at Seaclose.
On Saturday “Tadpoles” returned to the Island after a journey reliving its heyday on the Happy Trail through Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
When it retired from service here it was acquired by Top Deck which even today runs long bus tours across continents.
Film-maker Jordan Cross plans to release a movie of this latest journey. He was one of two drivers to take the tour from April 2011.
The vehicle is now back on show and the film is due to be released next year.
