Island Speedway Team In KnockOut Cup Action

Island Speedway Team In KnockOut Cup Action
By Lucy Morgan Thu, 09 August 2012 3:39PM

Speedway and the Wightlink Islanders are in Knock Out Cup action at Smallbrook Stadium tonight when they entertain runaway league leaders Dudley Heathens.

They need to pull back a 28 point deficit from the away leg.

However, they're boosted by their emphatic 55-37 home league victory over Scunthorpe on Tuesday,

The Islanders are without skipper Danny Warwick who crashed during Tuesday's home league victory over Buxton.

Former Wightlink Islander Brendan Johnson, who is riding for King's Lynn this season, will stand in.

Tapes go up tonight (Thursday) at 7.30pm.
