An Island band are playing the biggest gig of their lives at the Olympic Park in London on Monday.
Alternative pop five-piece Goodbye Stereo have been chosen from bands all over the country to play the show.
Bassist Danny Colson told Isle of Wight Radio it was a complete surprise.
'Unknowingly to us we were signed up to the Unsigned Band Review', he says.
'They set up a little competition called 'Emerging Artists' and thousands of bands were put into a draw and selected by a panel.
'We got selected as one of the lucky few to go up there and perform'.
Goodbye Stereo will perform outside the velodrome, where Sir Chris Hoy, Victoria Pendleton and the rest of Team GB will be going for gold on Monday.
Danny says he can't wait to soak up the Olympic atmosphere.
'We're keen to check out Usain Bolt!', he laughs.
'We tried to get tickets and were unable. When this came up it was a blessing in disguise.
'We're all really excited to go up there, represent the Island and have a good time'.
