Island Couple Can Now Park Outside Their Home

Island Couple Can Now Park Outside Their Home
By Charles Ballard Tue, 31 July 2012 3:00PM

After spending four months phoning Isle of Wight Council an Island couple can now finally park outside their home again.

Ray Bird and his disabled wife live on Horsebridge Hill on the outskirts of Newport.

When the Island's roads started to melt earlier this year contractors spread grit over the affected area covering over their disabled parking bay.

Mr Bird says since April he's been calling the Council to get it re-painted.

After Isle of Wight Radio broadcast his dilemma contractors appeared on scene to carry out the work.
