Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue service has been called to a kitchen fire at a flat in East Cowes.
Fire engines from Newport and East Cowes attended the scene at 172 York Avenue at 18.29pm.
The small blaze on a cooking hob was extinguished quickly.
No one was injured in the incident according to a spokesperson from Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue.
