The Isle of Wight council is urging motorists to not bring their cars to any of the viewing areas around the island.
Thousands are expected to come see the Torch, and with the recent bout of wet weather overflow car parks that were available may be out of action on the day, this is most likely going to affect the Yarmouth – East Cowes area.
Parking at the Needles will be on a first come first served basis, once the park is full drivers will be turned away.
Park and Ride services will be in operation on the day from the Isle of Wight College and Newport Football Ground.
Free parking will be made at Fort Victoria where cars can be left, and drivers and their passengers can walk into Yarmouth Town Centre from there.
Southern Vectis is also planning on putting on additional bus services during the relay on busy routes.
