Binstead Homes Left Devastated after Heavy Flooding
By Charles Ballard Mon, 09 July 2012 3:40PM

Residents in Binstead left in shock after another bout of flooding in the space of 18 months.

Saturday 7 July saw some of the heaviest rain Binstead has ever witnessed. Homes at the bottom of Binstead Hill took the brunt of the rain with some homes ending up under three feet of water.

Christine Hall was hit particularly badly. She's told Isle of Wight Radio that it will take her months to clear up her home.

The Island has been put back onto a yellow alert. Which leaves many residents not knowing what to do. They could begin the clean up operation but with more rain possibly on the way should they wait?
